SHIHAN RUSS ST. HILAIRE (Head Instructor - Hombu)
Shihan St. Hilaire - Menkyo Kaiden - began his Jujitsu training in 1980 under Shihan Ustie of
ZenBudo-Ryu at the Aiki Budokai dojo. He received his Blackbelt in 1985. He was a Hand-to-Hand
Combat and Riot Control Instructor in the U.S. Army. He was awarded Kaiden 6th Degree Blackbelt in
2003 and Menkyo Kaiden 7th Degree in 2010. Shihan St. Hilaire also holds a Blackbelt in
Kodenkan-Danzan-Ryu Jujitsu. He has certification as an Okazaki Restoration Therapist, and as a
Personal Protection Specialist through EPI. Shihan St. Hilaire is the author of Pioneers of American
Jujitsu, The Contractor, and the creator of the H2H Self Defense system for Military and Police as well as
Katana Sports Balm.

Sempai Cotrona - Mokuroku - began his Jujitsu training at Kobukai in 2001. Received his Blackbelt in
2004. Awarded Mokuroku in 2006. He also holds a Blackbelt in Hapkido, and us a former Wrestling
Coach.

Sensei Carvalko - Menkyo - began his Jujitsu training in 1984. He received his Blackbelt in 1991.
Received his Menkyo - Teacher's license in 2003. He is also a Certified Protection Specialist through
ESI. Sensei Carvalko is a former US Army PsychOps soldier.

Sensei Tortorella - Menkyo - began his Jujitsu training at Kobukai in 1995. Received his Blackbelt in
2000. Awarded Menkyo - Teacher's license in 2007. Sensei Tortorella is a former US Army Ranger and
Federal Prison Guard. He assists Shihan St. Hilaire in training the Military and Police.
