Self Defense JuJitsu is serious business. The main goal of real
JuJitsu training is to be able to ESCAPE FROM A VIOLENT ATTACK
and if you cannot escape DEFEAT YOUR ATTACKER QUICKLY AND
EFFICIENTLY WITH TECHNIQUE Therefore, training must be
focused on SELF DEFENSE from a VIOLENT ATTACK!
Training at the Kobukai Dojo is tough - but not impossible. You will
be challenged physically and mentally by our fitness routine, and
by the training necessary to teach you the strategy and tactics of
JuJitsu. Jujitsu training emphasizes realistic attacks and simple,
effective response which will Build Confidence, Toughen Your Mind
and Body, Get You in Great Shape, and prepare you to Really
Defend Yourself!
Kobukai Jujitsu uses a basic curriculum which addresses unarmed
attacks, basic weapon attacks, and self defense on the ground.
The concepts of Jujitsu, combined with your body's natural
reaction to danger allow you to react quickly to violence and
respond appropriately. These techniques have been taught to
civilians, the military, and law enforcement by Shihan St. Hilaire
since 1986. When the Kobukai Dojo was founded in 1993, the same
methods of self defense, defensive tactics, and personal protection
were incorporated into the curriculum.
Classes are taught by Shihan St. Hilaire - a 7th Degree JuJitsu
Blackbelt and former U.S. Army Hand to Hand Combat Instructor
with 30 years of experience, along with several Assistant Instructor
Blackbelts.
